Verbund.NRW at RWTH Science Slam of RWTH Science Night
The RWTH Science Night took place on Friday 8 November between 7 p.m. and midnight. Verbund.NRW participated in the popular RWTH Science Slam, which took place in the Audimax in the large lecture hall.
In the presentation "How chocolate changes the construction industry" Matthias Schiewerling, PhD student at the Institut für unterirdisches Bauen at the University of Applied Sciences Münster, explained the resource-efficient use of composite materials using cookie houses and building materials made from recycled chocolate cookies. The idea for the Science Slam contribution was born in an interdisciplinary team. Our thanks go to Verbund.NRW PhD students Matthias Schiewerling, Adjan Hansen-Ampah, Valentin Sommer and Martin Simons for the preparation.
