First Plenary Meeting of Fortschrittskollegs Verbund.NRW


The first plenary meeting of Fortschrittskolleg Verbund.NRW took place on February 9. Around 50 participants, including PhD students and senior researchers from RWTH Aachen University and University of Applied Sciences Münster and also cooperation partners from authorities and industry were present.

Greetings came from professor Ernst Schmachtenberg, principal of RWTH Aachen University and state secretary Dr. Grünewald from the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The Fortschrittskolleg was introduced by professor Quicker, director of TEER and professor Flamme, director of IWARU in Münster. The PhD students gave first insights into their projects and within inter- and transdisciplinary discussion groups, participants debated on chances and risks of composites in the construction industry.
